End Game - A Headcanon

AU: All the heroes have escaped unscathed - Stark House, circa 2023

“Woah. Mr. Stark, I thought we were just having lunch.”, said Peter in awe.

“This is how I do lunch, kid”, Tony replied.

Peter was just looking around, open-mouthed, feeling really honoured after spotting that Mr. Stark had a picture of them framed.

“Hey, Mr. Mechanic. Could we have the Iron Man dance?”

“How many times do I need to tell you, kid? I am Iron Man.”, said Tony with an exasperated look.

“It’s always worth a shot”, said Harley with a shrug.

Morgan came running in, with an Iron Man mask on.

“Have you been messing around in the garage again?”, asked Tony, picking up his daughter.

“Give them a break, Tony. They are just kids. Come on, time for lunch.”, said Pepper, carrying the last dish to the table.

Tony set down Morgan and was about to respond but just put his hands up in the air in an ‘I give up' gesture after a look from his wife.

They have a wonderful lunch. Peter got to know Harley, Pepper and Morgan and he just wouldn't shut up.

“Hello, Mrs. Stark ma’am.”

“Hey there, Harley. Nice meeting you. Why do you call him The Mechanic?”

“Hi, Morgan. I’m Spider Man.”

"Really, kid?", Tony thought, smiling.

Peter played with Morgan all afternoon.

“Mr. Stark sir, could I take Morgan out for cheeseburgers?”, asked Peter, in the evening.

Tony was about to refuse but Pepper intervened, “Yes of course, Peter.”

“Fine. Harley, go with the kid.”, said Tony, with a shake of his head.

“I’m 20, Mr. Mechanic. You can’t boss me around.”, replied Harley after rolling his eyes. “Hey, Peter. Wait for me.”

Tony followed them out and shouted from the porch, "Bring her back safely or I will take back the suit."

Peter turned around to assure Tony when he saw that his mentor is simply smiling.

"Very funny, Mr. Stark", he called out before picking Morgan up and placing her on his shoulders.

“You can’t boss around anyone, you know?”, said Pepper with a laugh, as she joined him on the porch.

“That’s why I have you”, replied Tony and kissed her.

"In that case, will that be all for today, Mr. Stark?", she asked with a grin.

"That will be all, Mrs. Stark.", he replied with a smirk.
